From what the International Zoo Yearbooks say, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo in the 1960s had both Black backed jackal and Golden jackal simultaneously, the Golden jackal subspecies they had was an Indian golden jackal ( Canis aureus indicus)
There is a privately owned zoo in Tuttle, Oklahoma called Tiger Safari that has one Black-Backed Jackal. I also remember seeing them at Caldwell Zoo several years ago in the enclosure that know has meerkats.
