Common Eiders and Herring Gull

August 2012: I\'m not very good at seabirds; are these Common Eiders?

I'd say two fist winter Atlantic common eiders, and a herring gull possibly.

Yeah, you're probably right. Thanks for the specification on the ducks! The gull is almost certainly a Herring Gull, but there are also Greater Black-Backed and Laughing Gulls at that beach, along with lots of terns and other seabirds.
