I thought that was a southern Arizona specialty. I didn't realize you have them in central Texas also. I had one in the parking lot of my downtown Tucson condo recently. For awhile (a year or two ago) we had one in the tree outside my work in central Tucson. Usually, though, they are found in more rural areas south of Tucson.
