Hamilton Zoo had capybara until the early 90s I think, I know where their enclosure was (its now a picnic area), but I don't think I ever saw them.

Chlidonias 24 Jun 2012 its possible that the Wellington Zoo ones went to Hamilton Zoo, but to tell the truth Hamilton Zoo had always been outside my radar and I never knew what sort of interesting animals they had there until Zoochat opened it up to me.
