Yes it was amazing - this bobcat is not the least bit concerned with people and is seen in Yosemite Village regularly. I had heard about it earlier from a staff member in the Ansel Adams Gallery. Then my cousin and I walked to lunch at the Awhanee Hotel and outside our window table the bobcat strolled by! Our good cameras were back at the car in the village, but after lunch we walked back and then parked at this meadow for shots of Half Dome. As we were walking into the meadow the bobcat emerged from the forest on the far side. He kept coming towards us and we kept shooting and we followed him for almost an hour. At times he came quite close and at no point did he pay us the least amount of attention.

Great shot! In all my years of living out west I only managed to see one wild bobcat and it was with binoculars.

Same here. I've seen tracks of Bobcats and Cougars in Texas. In 11 years in Alaska, I've seen exactly one Canada Lynx in the wild.
