No, but I'm not sure they try. The Amur Tigers are both males, brothers from a Zoo in the lower 48. I believe the Alaska Zoo is a holding facility for these animals (non-breeding within the SSP?). The Canada Lynx is a rescue animal. Two rescued Canada Lynx siblings spent a couple years at the Alaska Zoo, but have since been relocated to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage (about 40 miles south of Anchorage). The Snow Leopards are both from facilities in the lower 48. One male and one female. Maybe three years ago the female was pregnant, but the pregnancy was unsuccessful. I do not believe the Alaska Zoo has tried to breed them since and I believe the facility is consider a holding facility for this species as well. The previous male was sent back south, so again, maybe these cats are managed within the SSP as non-breeders?

I've been waiting to see photos from this zoo for some time. I almost made it up that way 4 years ago and Alaska Zoo was on my list of places to visit. Thanks for sharing Pleistohorse.

Thanks, glad you like them. These have been sitting on my phone for a while. Can't wait to post more.
