Did you get a chance to see them change color? Marvelous beasties.

do you know which species this is? It's very attractive.

It is beautiful. Unfortunately the species was not listed on the sign and nobody I asked knew.

the name flamboyant cuttlefish popped out from the deeper recesses of my brain so I googled it and I think that might be the one (Metasepia pfefferi)

I think that this is exactly right. This cuttlefish looks like the species kept at the California Academy of Sciences which is the flamboyant cuttlefish.

A good name for this species - which I had never heard of previously.
