western scrub jay

April 2012. In the small aviary in front of the white tail deer overlook.
This exhibit must rotate frequently. When I was there in January it was a Steller's Jay, and on a recent trip report I read on here, it was a western screech-owl before.

Map said screech owl and a temporary sign on the exhibit said "screech owl is on vacation and western scrub jay has moved in" (or something to that effect).

That's funny, when I was there the sign said screech owl was on vacation and the Steller's Jay has moved in!

Well maybe I am confused. I know the large walk-in aviary listed one kind of jay and this small exhibit another. Maybe I have it backwards and this is the stellars jay. Can any bird experts confirm?
