You guessed correctly, and it is astonishing how many temporary dinosaur displays are set up in American zoos every summer. Either my 2008 or 2010 road trip was spent strolling past about 8 dino displays in a single summer all across the United States, but I never actually paid to enter any of the adventure zones. However, at approximately $3 an individual many zoos rake in lots of extra dollars by displaying animatronic dinosaurs and I can understand why it makes for an interesting exhibit.
