The Louisiana Swamp complex at Audubon Zoo is ranked as one of the top 25 zoo exhibits in all of the United States by both authors of "America's Best Zoos", so I didn't need to venture into a real swamp! In truth several people suggested that I avoid any swamps in Louisiana or Florida as in the summer such areas are muggy, disgustingly humid, and packed with millions of annoying flies and mosquitoes.
