Snowleopard are the wire fronts as intrusive in reality as they seam in the photos? i know cameras can pick up light in a different way to the eye, but they appear very in your face.
Also how deep is this enclosure? it looks smaller than the Raccoons.

I'm guessing that there is actually piano wire that separates the cat(s) from visitors, and that allows sights and smells through the barrier. I remember the exhibit being fairly dark and lacking a modern touch, but in terms of size it is not overally tiny. The Louisiana Swamp section of Audubon Zoo is famous for having a wide variety of animals and while some areas are great (alligator swamp, underwater viewing sections, aquatic species) at least a couple of exhibits are disappointing (cougars, bobcats).
