Austral/Asian Walk-Through Aviary - Entrance Sign

August 10th, 2010.
this sign confuses me. "Austral-Asia"....is it supposed to say "Australasia", or is it a clumsy combination of "Australia" and "Asia" to imply there are birds from both regions in the aviary, or is it in fact suggesting "southern Asia"?

What species are in the aviary anyway?

I believe it holds: Bay Owl, Wrinkled Hornbill, Blue-faced Honeyeater, Great Argus Pheasant, Laughing Kookaburra, Bali Mynah, White-necked Mynah, Chestnut Teal, Magpie Robin, Pied Imperial Pigeon, Masked Lapwing, Straw-necked Ibis and White-winged Wood Duck
