yeah the Hoofstock complex was there before. I am not sure what was there. In its heyday the hoofstock complex housed Zebra, Giraffe, Grant's Gazelle, Ostrich, Red River Hog, Warthog, Sitatunga, Beisa Oryx, and Greater Kudu. Now days only the first four remain. The hoofstock yards are mostly small for the big species (great for rrh and sitatunga) but part of the Trails expansion is about expanding the hoofstock yards. Birmingham has 100 free acres attached to the zoo, I hope to get expanded hoofstock yards eventually.
