Judging from information found on Facebook links, it seems that this American Black Bear exhibit had its ribbon-cutting ceremony in 2012 and is in fact a brand new exhibit. Yikes! However, I have no idea whether the enclosure was a rebranding of what was previously there or else completely new. Either way, to have a cement bear exhibit constructed in the 21st century is a major disappointment.
