Bronx Zoo - Giraffe Paddock

In the summer months this is a spectacular exhibit, and the African Plains section of the Bronx Zoo was constructed in 1941.

This portion of the African Plains opened in the early 1980s. It's built on the site of the original Giraffe House dating from the turn of the century. The massive "new" giraffe house is well hidden behind the hills and vegetation of the new exhibit.

The best exhibits stand the test of time!
