Kakapo With thanks to Pizzey and Knight I would plump for Long billed C. baudinii as the bill looks a bit longer than the standard shortbilled C. latirostris. though it's difficult to tell from the angle, and the mesh.

I think it's latirostris, based on the beak. But as noted, it's really hard to tell.

Hmmm... baudinii for dean, latirostris for hix! So, still unresolved. Maybe is easier by trying to know what species are kept at Tasmania zoo, rather than looking at physical characters...

The answer is: Carnaby's black cockatoo Calyptorhynchus latirostris.
