Bronx Zoo- Helmeted Currasow Exhibit @ World of Birds

the more I see of World of Birds, the more fascinated I get. The did the planting really well and the mural paintings add an extra dimension. They really captured the essences of the habitats they tried to display. From the picture I can't really tell How big the exhibit is, but to me it seems a good sized replicated exhibit from a lush rainforest!

Sorry for the late response, but it is quite big. I took this picture standing right under it. :D

There is viewing from the upper level as well. Overall I was quite impressed by the exhibits and collection.

The murals are just spectacular. The same painter did the murals in the indoor exhibits at Congo Gorilla Forest, several exhibits at Woodland Park Zoo and many other zoos. You can always recognize his work.

And like so many of the other exhibits, a message is presented to encourage conservation, so they even put a chainsaw resting on a tree stump to add to the rainforest authenticity [well after human invasion, might I add]!

Also, I know this doesn't have anything to do with the subject, but Victoria Crowned pigeons are also in here...
