Barasingha Deer and Axis Deer in Wild Asia. The monorail passes through Wild Asia at the speed of light and with no stops for photos. Therefore it is incredible that I yet managed to take these photos.

What a wonderful view, especially with the tall trees in the background. But at the "speed of light" of course the animals in Wild Asia are tough to view properly and that is why monorails (even the good ones) suck for the vast majority of zoo enthusiasts. Who wouldn't want to spend time watching the Asian elephants, Indian rhinos, red pandas and variety of hoofstock in their huge enclosures along pathways in Wild Asia?

But as we all know, even if this were to happen, the Bronx Zoo would be ten times harder to walk through in its current operating hours.
