African Plains- Spotted Hyena Siblings

November 3rd, 2012: Kubwa (female on the right) and Kidogo (male on left). They came from Denver. There are plenty of viewing oppurtunities (through this fence, from an overlook, and through a little glass window)

Once upon a time, I believe this was a Cheetah exhibit (quite a small Cheetah exhibit at that).

Indeed it was a Cheetah exhibit. I can't remember when the cats died, but this exhibit was empty for a while I believe, until 2009.

I didn't know the cheetahs passed. I thought they were given the boot along with the other hundred or so animals that left in 2009. Well, they paced quite a bit while in their exhibit, which showed that it clearly wasn't suitable for cheetahs, so it's good that the Bronx Zoo didn't decide to bring more of them in.
