I didn't knew that the complete group of Hoatzins was gone as I have visted the Bronxzoo last year for the first time, but unfortunately,the last Hoatzins has died several years before. Very interesting Birds.

Nobody today has Hoatzin, as far as I know. Presumably because of their strict diet. Do you know what the Bronx used to feed them?

Not really. I remember seeing leafy greens (kale, lettuce) but that may not have been all they were given

What exhibit were they in the the Aquatic Bird House? What I mean is what animals are now in the exhibit the Hoatzin used to be in?

I don't know what is there now. This was the first exhibit on the right immediately upon entering the building

Oh ok, I know what one you're talking about. This exhibit now has Boat-billed Herons in it (as of June 2010).
