This is actually a Little Egret (Egretta garzetta).

To be completely honest I did not identify this bird myself but another member did when I posted a photo of the same bird as "Snow Egret" just as you did. I believe the main way to tell though is that Snowy Egrets have yellow on their faces, something this bird clearly does not.

The bird in the background I believe is a Javan Pond Heron by the way.

Snowy Egret have yellow facial markings, whilst Little Egret tend to either have dark facial markings or a greyish-beige.
