Thanks to both of you The movement of the monorail does make it quite difficult to get a good look at, let alone successfully photograph many of its species. This visit was actually made even more difficult by me being in the back row and not the first!
My technique is generally to look ahead and spot the subject I want to photograph and set myself up before reaching it, then take multiple pictures as I move by. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I do quite enjoy the monorail and it has a great selection of animals, though I do wish there was a way to view them without it. Many animals such as the babirusa, muntjac, and Tufted Deer are especially hard to view due to their enclosures being smaller than most of the ones here and having more places to hide.
