It reminds me of the anti-meth commercials more than the anti-smoking ones.

Although I know of the adverts you speak, meth is nowhere near as big a problem on this side of the Atlantic and so we don't really see any such adverts, whilst anti-smoking imagery is reasonably common; hence the latter being the first thing to come to mind!
