Is there much more to this enclosure than the pile of cement that is in the photo? This could potentially crack the top 5 list of the worst polar bear exhibits in North America.
There are two Grizzly Bears that have to share an exhibit half the size of this one, while the one Polar Bear that was there had to exhibits to move around in.
In total there are five bear enclosures.
Two for Spectacled Bears
Two for Polar Bears
One for Grizzly Bears
Is the pool in front (between the visitors rail and the land area) or to the side, outside of what can be seen on this photo? How big is it? Even if a Polar Bear exhibit is crappy, like this one certainly seems to be, I tend to give some credit at least if the pool is a bit decent.
Yup, the pool is just after the large pit, in between the visitors and the exhibit.
The pool is not the biggest. I would say maybe 15 square meters at the most. Can't say anything good about anything in this exhibit.
