They don't have a mud hole. The land area is not too large, however the pool is around 200,000 gallons. The land seen here is only accessible to the lemurs.
Your right Okapikpr, and it is an outstanding hippo exhibit. Definitely one of the top five hippo exhibits in the country.
My only problems with it are they could have done a better job at covering up the hideous hot-wire across the wooden posts in the water, they have an overkill amount of fish, and because of a rock mass in the window you can't see the one female (Eva) that likes to hang out in the far right side of the enclosure. All of these have to do with the guest experience, but other than that it is a fantastic exhibit.
