@gorgeousingray: was that the only African bull elephant in Texas? Do any Texas zoos have African elephants besides Caldwell Zoo, Cameron Park, and Dallas? Someone mentioned that Dallas does not have a bull elephant - do you know if they have any plans to have a breeding herd eventually (or if any Texas zoos do)?
With in ten years it is likely Dallas will have a bull, as the animals created by the captive breeding program need more suitable homes, and Dallas is equipped with bull facilities.
But like jbnbsn99 said not anytime soon.
