Given the cost, and the newness, of this facility, these seem to be very traditional reptile exhibits. In my book that's a good thing - I like traditional! - but I'm surprised.

These particular exhibits are in the faux "classical" African Hall, where they are tucked in between the intentionally traditional dioramas of mounted mammals. It sort of works, although these "living dioramas" are slightly marred by things such as heat lamps and water bowls that are obvious afterthoughts.
