I think that my vote would go to Cameron Park Zoo, and in my opinion it challenges Fort Worth as the second best zoo in the state of Texas. Dallas is clearly #1, Fort Worth has a large collection but Cameron Park and Caldwell are both small zoos with many top-notch exhibits. Both Cameron Park and Caldwell focus almost exclusively on African and North American animals, but they are both well worth a visit.
