Herpetarium- ID? January 4, 2016. Obviously a gaboon viper but it is my understanding that the two subspecies were split into full species so would this be an East or West African Gaboon Viper?

This is a western gaboon viper- the marking under the eye is a single undivided triangle, wheras it is two shapes with a space in between them in the eastern.
