I wish this species was more widely displayed in North American zoos. By looking at ISIS it seems that only 1.4 remain in US zoos, with only 0.2 in this zoo and 1.2 at the Hogle Zoo. It also mentions both the SD Zoo and Park as having them, but we all know that we can't trust ISIS when it comes to those zoos.

I didn't see them when I was in either the SD Zoo or the Park. Very disappointed. They could be in the back holding areas.

I'm pretty sure the SD listings are ISIS ghosts. Hogle Zoo has 0.2 now.

http://www.maengr.com/Zoo_Master_Plan.jpgthe zoos master plan shows that gibbons will eventually occupy this exhibit

The latest news is that this exhibit will be host to a new species (Francois Langur) and eventually a bachelor group will be held at Chattanooga Zoo. Hanuman Langurs are practically extinct in American zoos although the last one at Chattanooga has been sent to Naples Zoo in Florida.
