Gorilla Exhibit

I can picture just about anything else than gorillas in there. Chimps maybe, gorillas no.

Is the rockwork in the foreground a part of the exhibit or a barrier between animals and visitors?

The rockwork is part of the gorilla enclosure, and the apes are separated from humans by massive viewing windows. Like many exhibits at this unique mountain zoo there is a degree of steepness to the land, and the gorillas must really have to go on a hike to reach the highest point of their enclosure!
