This is following a rather sad trend in zoo interpretation. More and more zoos are figuring that since, "no one reads signs anyways", they don't need to worry about putting them in.

If I had been asked what I would consider an uninformative zoo label prior to seeing this one, I would have said one with only the common name, scientific name and distribution range. But this one doesn't even have the latter two.
But I'm glad to report that the zoo is not totally hopeless in terms of signage. I was for instance rather impressed by the signs in Cougar Country giving the relationship between various American animals and the State of Colorado in past and present. I even uploaded a photo of the Grizzly Bear sign here.

I'm not sure this is even supposed to be an exhibit label. It looks more like its primary purpose is to recognize the donors who supported the exhibit. Are there any other graphics at the exhibit that provide more detailed information about the red river hogs?

I didn't see any other sign or label; and I had a look, but having said that, there is the possibility that I may have missed it. However, it would have been odd if I had because this exhibit has really only one side by which visitors can stand.
