That would be my guess, the reptile house was done in a theme that the animals live in an actual house. They had a swimming pool with lawn chairs to hold baby alligators, a living room exhibit that had chameleons and turtles, the smaller snakes had rocks of an oppiset color of the snake to make their color stand out (they were located in a kitchen themed area) and they had various lizards in closets and bookshelves.
