In my opinion, this whole reptile house is very weird! You didn't post any photos of the random snakes in vases or in tanks on bookshelves with colored glass beads as substrate, or random geckos inside lanterns hung on the walls. Overall it's a very strange concept that made it feel more like an art gallery to me than a reptile building.

You described it nicely, and the place was so busy and the glare so poor on my camera that I unfortunately only ended up with the 3 photos that I posted (gators, chameleon with sofa, monitor lizard). I took photos of the signs (27 species) but there was indeed several terrariums with brightly-coloured glass beads and then a single strikingly coloured snake wrapped around itself in a corner; or lanterns in with lizards. Indianapolis Zoo has a small Reptile House in the back of its Desert Building that has a similar concept.
