Susie was captured when she was six months old in the Belgian Congo. She was then taken to the Riviera in France where she stayed until she boarded the Graf Zeppelin for its first trip to America. She landed in 1929 and traveled around the United States and Canada. She was bought by the Cincinnati Zoo in 1931, and she died at the zoo in 1947 from leptospirosis. So this postcard would have been from only a year before she died. Her cage was located on the outside of the Monkey House (Now the Reptile House), shown in the picture below.
