Summer must have come early in Cincinnati as this cheetah exhibit is looking very lush and jungle-like. It is in stark contrast to almost every other cheetah enclosure in American zoos, as usually there is far less undergrowth.

The African Wild Dogs were on exhibit there less than 10 years ago. They were on exhibit in this grotto for a period of a few years in the mid-2000s. The dogs were on exhibit here while the Cheetahs were on exhibit in a yard beside the Elephant House (Now Sabu's yard) and the current Mexican Wolf exhibit. Before that this yard held Cheetahs.
Interestingly enough, this grotto was originally built to hold various African ground birds.
