Jungle Trails - Orangutan and Gibbon Exhibit

I may be crossing the line here, but Cinzoo man just sent me a PM so bratty and immature that it cannot be ignored:

First of all, my photos are landscape pictures that show exhibits and landscapes in zoos not just animal shots.

Secondly, all of my photos are sharp and crisp and not blurry catastrophes.

Secondly, I don't use flash on animals because I think it can be stressful to many species and it is not allowed to use flash in many nocturnal houses. While some of my pictures may be a little dark (for which I apologize) they are ALWAYS sharp or not uploaded.

I am amazed that you continue to embarrass yourself like this. Your responses are bratty and downright ridiculous.

Oh, and by the way: You may have seen an old picture of me but if you were capable of doing the least bit of research, you would be able to see on my profile that I am 21 (well, in two days at least).

I'm not embarrassed at all.

Well you nag on me about bad pictures, I'm just pointing out your bad ones. And to point that I sent you a "PRIVATE MESSAGE'', do you know what that is?

I do not "nag you" about bad pictures. I point out (as many have done before me) that posting blurry photos is a waste of space on a site that does not have space to spare.

You, however, are responding bratty and childish at a level I have never seen before.

I disagree that the photos I have posted are "bad". Obviously, as I wouldn't have posted them if I thought they were. Also, I have given you my reasons for not using flash. You may not care about animal's stress levels flashing away with your little phone but I certainly do.

I have attempted to give you some friendly advice to help you along on this forum, as older members of the forum did for me 4 years ago. However, I now see that I have failed and that you are beyond advice and reason. I am sorry for that.

Boy, you just keep lowering yourself into the dirt. But yes, I am fully aware of what that is. However, as it was important for this discussion, I felt that the other good forumsters at ZooChat should be made aware of it.

I care about it, especially the octopus at the Newport aquarium when people apparently don't like to read the signs that say no flash. I said you need to use flash on the pics that are far distanced from the animals, and when I go to louisville, (are there any nocturnal exhibits?) I would use flash from a distance. And no one on here besides zooplantman, and KCzoo fan (on another picture) have been giving me helpful advice, and they didn't make me feel like crap.

I whole heartedly agree with you, you were nothing but nice but some people really are beyond help... ;)

I am amazed at your ability to pick out only the points you want to from other peoples' posts. Maybe we best end this discussion before you embarrass yourself further. I wish you luck on the forum and hope that you will think about the advice you have been given here in this thread.

Once again not embarrassed, and I have not posted a tin of bad pictures before, especially when I accidentally turned my phone's resolution to the lowest and all my great pics were small that day.

So now you are expecting a medal for NOT uploading your "great pics"?

Anyway, this was the last post from me on this matter. Good luck with the other members on this site.

I do like the lushness in this exhibit, but I do agree with others that it may not be the best suited for orangutans due to the lack of climbing structures. But perhaps another animal would be better suited for this exhibit.

I've seen so many photos of orangutan exhibits just having a couple of platforms that it was very interesting to see that photo from the Apenheul Primate Park. I think I may do a search now to see different zoos' orangutan exhibits to compare and contrast.

3 quality exhibits of the top of my head:- Chester, Singapore and the aforementioned Apenheul! :D
Sorry but all blow this one out of the water.
