Jungle Trails opened in 1993 and it is 2.5 acres of tropical forest. Jungle Trails received the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's prestigious exhibit award in 1994. It is a naturalized rain forest habitat, teeming with rare and exotic wildlife and hundreds of plant species from Asia and Africa. The exhibit displays 28 species.
 
It's a lovely exhibit and I enjoy the animals exhibited here, but it's all rather lackluster having seen Shoebills exhibited here once upon a time. The Shoebill is high on my list of species that I'd like to see return to the zoo.
 
Jungle trails

Call me a spoilsport, but isn't there some risk of the Storks eating the Starlings?
