This is what is great about many modern zoos: realistic, naturalistic, spacious exhibits that to some degree create the natural environment of the species being showcased. Gone are the days of metal cages and concrete pits...at least those ugly enclosures are slowly fading out of most zoos.:)

Ah man, it makes you wonder why every exhibit couldn't have been built in the woods and actually keep the grass and the trees with it. The zoo was in fact called Blakely Woods before it was established.

Well yes, but this site was a parking lot for decades
Almost every tree seen int his photo was planted around 1990
