Jun. 2012-Research Shelter in the South American aviary

Wings of the World: Walk into a building and discover the lives of hundreds of birds that range from South America all the way to Antarctica. Some of these birds include macaws, hornbills,parrots, kingfishers, and three species of penguins.

If you look back you can see a small exhibit and it contains a large, dead moth.

The aviary contains boat-billed herons, elegant crested tinamous, golden conures, guira cuckoos, matamata turtles, northern helmeted curassows, northern lapwings, opal-rumped tanagers, paradise tanagers, red-capped cardinals, red-rumped caciques, red shovelers, saffron finches, scarlet ibises, southern screamers, sunbitterns, and yellow-rumped caciques.
