Dead Lake Western Australia

Taken July 2014, near Narrogin Western Australia. This is/was a large freshwater lake surrounded by wheat fields in South Western Australia. It has been completely killed by increased salinity due to the cutting of native bushland for crops which causes salt levels to rise (someone can probably explain this process better than I can). There are a number of lakes in this area where authorities are trying to remove the salt however this lake is completely dead apart from a few small bushes that are tolerant to salt.
