I just actually read the whole thing and apparently Incas was never found during the shipment. Martha still makes occasional visits once in awhile to the zoo.
The second article you posted says that Incas got lost on the way to the Smithsonian when the zoo sent it and Martha there in 1977, so it may be that nobody knows where it is.
that is correct. Incas' body (frozen inside a block of ice for preservation) disappeared en route to the Smithsonian. There were some suspicions it was stolen rather than misplaced. In any case, as far as I have read, it was never found.
On a related note, I don't recall having ever seen anything written on what happened to the body of Lady Jane, Incas' mate, who died just a few months before he did.

Thanks Chlidonias. I wonder if there is a black market for extinct parrots? I have a hard time imagining that, but then rich weirdos collect many things.
At least the Smithsonian has Incas's crocheted stunt double
Here's the answer straight from the Smithsonian: "It turns out that Martha is in our collections, but not Incas. Our staff doesn't know who has Incas. Sorry we couldn't be more helpful!"
