The zoo, and other are final reservoirs of breeding stock. The Cincinnati Zoo is known around the world for its successful work with the snow leopard, lowland gorilla, pygmy hippopotamus, black rhinoceros, Bengal tiger and others. New techniques and modern facilities are all part of its effort in behalf of threatened wildlife. Someday, when their habitats improve and with the help of people everywhere, these animals kept alive in zoos may repopulate the wild places from which they are vanishing.
