I agree--I recall thinking it just looked fake the whole time I was there. The monkey's seem to like launching off of things in it, however. I can't remember where this was located though....Jungle Trails?
I'd agree with that summation. The picture looks a lot better but I can vividly remember walking up to the exhibit, looking at my boyfriend and going, "Why is this monkey in a really, really poorly decorate 40's ruins movie?"
I'd place San Diego at # 1 because the lion-tailed macaque exhibit there is larger and yet it is easier to spot the primates. In Seattle the enclosure is so completely overgrown in the summer that finding the macaques is a major challenge. Both enclosures are outstanding!
