Lana was climbing, the first time I ever even saw her move! I forget where Lana is from from Henry came from the El Paso Zoo.
Jungle Trails-Asia.
Jungle Trails is an award winning exhibit takes visitors through a 2.5 acre naturalized rain forest habitat, teeming with rare and exotic wildlife and hundreds of plant species from Asia and Africa. Each region in the exhibit is divided by outdoor and indoor habitats with enjoyable viewing of the Zoo\'s collection of rare primates. It opened in 1993.
They were both climbing about the exhibit on my last visit on the 10th. Lana climbed to the very top of the tree on the left side of the exhibit and sat for a while before climbing back down and strolling across the exhibit.

Wow, a keeper did say that they were more active because they were used to each other. You can kind of tell Lana is up in her years because she moves really slowly, or do orangutans always move like that because in Tampa, they were moving like crazy.
From a post earlier in this thread from Kifaru Bwana and kudu21 agreed with this comment. If the zoo has a male Orangutan and female orangutan, then why would they have plans to import semen from another male orangutan? Is the male too old? Moebelle you think the female is old, then why even breed or is there more orangutans at the zoo than just these two?

Lana is 27 years-old. I talked to a keep and asked if they would breed but basically said that they most likely won't. She said that in a way that the zoo is forced to have to try to breed her and Henry.
