Jungle Trails: Tropical African Animals
@Moebelle - Do you know if the zoo is breeding their golden-cheekes, or do you have a pair? Denver had 2.2 all breed-able but labels them as a phase out. Which I think is weird as L.A. is still breeding theirs.

@Moebelle- I know that the buff-cheeked gibbons were held in this indoor enclosure as well as one of the outdoor netted enclosures in the African section of Jungle Trails, however I do not remember them ever being kept with the white-handed gibbons. Are you sure?

This talk of gibbons bring up a question. What has happened to the male white-handed and buff-cheeked gibbons? I haven't seen either in quite some time.

@Pacarana- The last buff-cheeked gibbon to be born at the Cincinnati Zoo was was born in 2008. However, now that the male has disappeared (Deceased? Moved to another zoo? Off-display?) the zoo is left with only two females on display.

Now that I've researched it, I guess they weren't with the orangs. I really hope the male is only kept off display and not anything else.
