Nice species. Howmany are kept at Cincinnati and have they even been bred there ? I know Bronx Zoo - New York has bred them many years ago but am not aware of any other breeding results with this species.

There is only one male (?) here. They got him four years ago so they have not at least recently bred them. They actually first mistook him as a Nile Monitor. The zoo did breed green tree (2011) and quince monitors (2012), however.
A very nice species indeed; I was lucky enough to see the only one in the UK last year at Five Sisters Zoo - sadly in the intervening time it was one of the many, many animals to perish in the reptile/nocturnal house fire in April 2013.
