It's staged, Moebelle. The same thing happened when I saw the show. That same guy comes back out at the end of the show and displays and takes about a Kookaburra.
They stole the part of the guest falling in the pool from the bird show at Dallas Zoo. I wonder if the same people put this one on? (I suspect they do).

When the shows were started means nothing because either zoo could easily have change theirs slightly to include this. I doubt this act is exclusive to either zoo anyway.
@ArizonaDocent- Does Dallas do this with an Abyssinian Ground Hornbill as well?
