Zebradui8ker, Zoo Cincinnati

Thank you. I have just one picture of the zebraduikers at Frankfurt Zoo, the last one was send to L.A in 1988, at a time, I was just starting with photograhpy, don't ask me why so late....

L.A has stoped with zebraduikers after the imported the black duikers and send the zebra duikers to Cincinnati.

L.A. has always had excellent success with many duiker species. They used to keep and breed Jentink's Duiker in the past.

L.A got a pair of Jentink's Duiker from Brownsville, but they died a few years later and never bred. Brownsville was the only zoo outside of africa, whos has bred this species.

I know this is old....but anyways.

Ah. The good old Zebra Duikers!! I miss these guys! They were such a treat to see!! Beautiful creatures that they are. They were such a joy to watch. I'd like to see them return to Cincinnati.

I'd love to see these beautiful mini antelopes return to L.A. One of my all time favorite species there. I remember when they first arrived, around the same time as their Red-flanked Duikers. They called both "jewels of the forest" on arrival. I love duikers!
