February 2, 2014: Will open this spring for Africa's phase 4.
It actually looks to be a decent size. The wall is kind of overbearing. Maybe it will be carved up to look kopje-ish? Are they extending the water area or using mesh to block the slaughter of ungulates and birds?

And yes the fence will be a rocky outcrop and the viewing area will be along the top of it.

I was asking about the rockwork with the scaffolding. If it would be connected to the wall via mesh or some other barrier. Which fence? The one in front or the windy one? I just noticed the opening of the shift door for exhibit access between the vibratory padfoot and excavator. Looks like the grade is rising.

My mistake, thought you were talking about the lion exhibit. I went over the map again and it just seems that the barrier between the hoofstock and the dogs will be a large rock wall.

No worries. :) Really? I was hoping they'd connect it to the holding wall and that rock blob with mesh. :( It would be nice to look across the Savanna and see the dogs at a distance, just like lion.
